We have a great new restaurant fundraiser coming up March 3 at Colorado Craft on Tejon Street, and we hope you'll join us! Support a local business and our school -- and get out of cooking dinner for the night!
15% of sales go back to Taylor PTA.
Fundraisers like these help PTA bring good things to Taylor.
Next up: a K-5 assembly featuring 4 birds of prey from HawkQuest on February 28!

2019-2020 TIGER FUND

The Tiger Fund is a simple, straightforward direct donation campaign.

Donations will fund the great programs, events, field trips, assemblies, and resources PTA sponsors each year to enrich every student's experience.

We are asking each family to contribute $40 to help us achieve our school-wide goal of $4,000. But any amount you are able to give is appropriate and appreciated. Simply fill out the donation form on the back of the TIGER FUND letter that went home with your student(s) and return it along with a check or cash to your student's teacher by October 8.

Or donate online at www.memberplanet.com/campaign/copta-taylorelementary/tigerfund_2019-2020.
*The online platform charges a 6% convenience fee, which PTA covers. You can help us by adding a dollar or two to your online donation.

For each goal we reach as a school by October 8, the entire student body will be rewarded with the following:

$1,000 - Crazy Hair Day
$1,500 - Pajama Day
$2,500 - Double Recess Day
$4,000 - Picnic and Popsicles on the Playground!

Taylor PTA hosts a full calendar of events for our Tiger community, including the Sock Hop, Fall Festival, Valentine's Dance, Taylor Art Festival! We also cover the cost of supplies for the art room and offer a Sponsorship Program, which has paid for items ranging from field trips and assemblies to technology, equipment, books, and celebrations. Last year, we brought the Challenger Learning Center's Planetarium and a Milibo Art Theater performance of Aesop's Fables to Taylor for the entire school. We also supported class trips to the Philharmonic, the Pioneer's Museum, Starsmore Discovery Center, and the Western Museum of Mining and Industry and helped fund the purchase of a Promethean Board for the 4th grade classroom.

Taylor PTA is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation is 100% tax deductible! Ask your employer if they will double your dollars!

Thank you for your continued support!

Challenger Learning Center's Mobile Planetarium comes to Taylor!

Check this out. Since we don't have a Planetarium here in town (yet!), we decided to bring the Planetarium to Taylor!

PTA sponsored Thursday's visit from Challenger Learning Center's Mobile Planetarium. Thank you to Challenger staff Erik and Joe for bringing engaging programs about our night sky and our place in the universe to our students!

Parents, ask your kids about it!

TIGER FUND Update

The numbers are in and Tiger says, "Thank you!" to every family that contributed! Together we collected just over $1,627, which will go straight into programs for our kids – like a visit by Challenger Learning Center's Mobile Planetarium on October 18 for ALL students! PTA has also committed funds to reduce or eliminate the cost of several field trips that are coming up soon. And PTA will be buying AppleTV technology for classrooms that don't already have ActiveBoards!

Your generosity has also earned the entire student body

Students and staff are invited to do up their craziest do on Friday, October 19, and then to keep their PJs on for our last day of school before conferences, Wednesday, October 24.

We didn't collect enough to earn Double Recess Day ($2,500) or Picnic and Popsicles on the Playground ($4,000). But it's never too late to donate! Any donationsthat come in throughout the rest of this school year will be counted towardTIGER FUND rewards. We'd love to give the kids a Double Recess Day and Picnic and Popsicles on the Playground any time later this year – and be able to fund even more great programs and resources for Taylor students.

As always, we welcome you to join us at PTA meetings, the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m. to help decide how your fundraising dollars are spent!

We had a great turnout and an amazing DJ. Thanks to everyone who came out and to our incredible staff and parent volunteers who helped make it happen. Thanks, also, to all who baked or bought items for our cake walk. A special shout-out to Village Inn for donating 15 pies (and to Alahn in the front office for making the phone calls).

We're already looking forward to the next fun community event!
